    Temperature rise prevention "boiling pot" teaches you to maintain the cooling system of the car

    With the rising temperature, the technical status of vehicles will also be affected by the environment, so it's time to check whether the cooling system is healthy.

    Cooling system

    The most common fault of automobile cooling system is that "water tank boiling pot" breaks down the car and causes water shortage. Along with the water tank boiling and water shortage, there are also problems such as weak acceleration. To repair the vehicle with water tank boiling, first of all, ensure that other relevant parts of the vehicle are normal, such as using the fuel, oil, spark plug and antifreeze of the correct label, and adjust the ignition timing and idle air-fuel ratio. Further check the cooling system under normal conditions in these aspects.

    The inspection sequence should be:

    First look at the water tank. The temperature of the normal water tank should be the same up and down when the car is driving. If there is a half cooling and half heating situation, it can be judged that the water tank is blocked internally. The water tank can be connected to a 2kg pressure water pipe for reverse washing. If it is seriously blocked, a small amount of detergent can be used. At the same time, pay attention to clean the dirt in the water tank and observe whether there is leakage.

    Then look at the thermostat. Some people think that removing the thermostat can prevent the water temperature from being too high. In fact, as long as the thermostat works normally, it will not cause the water temperature to be too high, and the long-term operation of the engine at low temperature is also very harmful; In addition, many engine thermostats are bidirectional. When the thermostat is closed, the cooling water is forced to go through small cycle. When the thermostat is open, the small cycle is closed and the cooling water is all in large cycle. If the thermostat is not installed, due to the throttling effect of the local resistance of the pipeline, the actual flow direction of large circulation is that there is little water, and the water temperature rises instead.

    Finally, check the water pump. There are three ways to damage the water pump: leakage, loss of rotation and impeller corrosion. The so-called lost rotation is that the fit clearance between the pump shaft and the impeller is too large. When the engine speed reaches a certain value, the pump impeller cannot reach the corresponding speed, resulting in poor water circulation. The fan is the main part of the cooling system. Some cars have eliminated the fixed fan and replaced it with the electromagnetic fan and the fan with the silicon oil clutch. The main fault of the silicon oil fan clutch is oil leakage, while the main fault of the electromagnetic fan clutch is water temperature switch damage, circuit damage, electromagnetic coil damage. In addition to water as the heat dissipation medium, part of the heat can also be dissipated along with the exhaust, and the oil can also take part of the heat, while the air convection around the engine plays an irreplaceable role. Therefore, when the engine is overheated, don't forget to check whether the exhaust system (especially the model with catalytic converter) is smooth, and whether the oil and transmission oil heat dissipation device is complete OK. In addition, the wind guide cover (commonly known as the wind ring) near the engine fan plays an important role in the heat convection in the engine room, which should be paid attention to during the inspection.

    In order to prevent the failure of the cooling system, attention should be paid to the maintenance of the cooling system, which includes:

    1. Check the sealing condition of the cooling system, the tightness of the fan belt, the sensitivity of the thermostat and the cooling water temperature, and pay attention to maintain sufficient cooling water.

    2. The cleaning cooling system includes the scale adhered in the radiator and water jacket to prevent the scale from affecting the cooling system's cooling performance.
